Character name: Miss Britain

Type: Superheroine

Alter ego: Penelope York

Powers:
Strength: When on British soil, she's one of the UK's strongest superheroes. Her strength is greatly reduced overseas, but still powerful (lifting range: 2500 lbs).
Flight
Endurance: She's able to temporarily survive extreme conditions of heat and cold without physical harm, although still feels equivalent discomfort. At some undetermined point of prolongued exposure this endurance wears off.
Resilience: Years of being captured and subjected to sadistic tortures by the most perverted minds in the world have helped her develop a moderately high tolerance for pain, and ability to ignore her own injuries during a battle.

Weaknesses:
Loses her strength and flight ability if bound. Her strength is reduced, although still significant, outside of British soil. Sensitive in her derriere.
Miss Britain is not immune to any drugs, gasses etc. that would affect a normal human, and is likewise vulnerable to most things that would hurt or kill a normal human (aside from the temporary protection of her endurance power).

Penelope was the winner of a beauty contest which was actually a front for the test to find Great Britain's national heroine. She became the leader of an all-female superhero team called the Spitfires. For a period circa 2009-2011 she vanished from the public eye, recently making a reappearance.
